[wp_ad_camp_2] The Egyptian Lover started out as a D.J. in Los Angeles with Uncle Jamms Army doing dances at the L.A. Sports Arena. He began recording around Los Angeles in 1982 as a member of the Radio Crew. In the early days of hip hop, albums were rare, so most of The Egyptian Lover's successful recordings were 12" singles. He would eventually release some of the earliest rap LPs, which was especially unique for being west-coast based, but they were less popular than his singles. On the strength of containing an alternate mix of his most popular single "Egypt, Egypt", 1984's On the Nile was moderately successful. Egyptian Lover returned in 1994 with "Back from the Tomb". His last full-length album in over ten years. Since then he has made "Platinum Pyramids" and "Electro Pharoh" (D

[wp_ad_camp_2] Arkitech presents his debut release “Drive” on the Black Hole imprint. Ash Richards delivers the vocals.  [wp_ad_camp_1] The elusive Arkitech makes his first appearance on the Black Hole imprint with an electro tinged vocal trancer. With plenty of focus on the build up of the track, Arkitech subtly hints to “Behind The Wheel” by Depeche Mode in the backing for Ash Richards’ vocals. It would certainly explain the title “Drive”, but make no mistake: Arkitech has created a moving arrangement that perfectly fits the description of modern day trance on the ISOS tip. Ash Richards is a female singer/songwriter and electropop artist from Vancouver. She has been fortunate to have worked with the notable Sean Hosien (Bananatoons), Lil Henriques (Hipjoint), Sam Ryan (SOS musi

So Please give a warm welcome to VOX MOD! Tell us something about your background and how your career started. My background is based in visual arts but later on I adopted percussion and drums. The entire time of my youth I was really drawn to electronic music though, so around 2000 I decided to look into drum machines, sequencers, and samplers after being tremendously inspired by Orbital. Additionally, I obtained the program Acid 2.0 (which I still use) and sought to develop up my editing, mixing, and recording skills. It was also vastly important being introduced to so many types of music an...

[wp_ad_camp_2] [wp_ad_camp_1] By KATE O'CONNELL -- A few weeks back after a super late night of raging, I was at home winding down, cruising YouTube for new music and decided to look up DJ Mia Moretti. I came across a video of her and another girl, an electric violinist Caitlin Moe, playing a live set together at what appeared to be some sort of wedding or out door party. The clip was of the two of them doing their version of “Digital Love” by Daft Punk. It literally blew me away. Not only were they both beautiful blondes (always a plus) and wickedly talented but they were a blast to watch. You could tell they were both having a great time, loved playing together, and have really fun spunky personalities. It made the remix that much more exciting! I think I might have replayed th
