BIG ROOM, DANCE, EDM NEWS, ELECTRO HOUSE, INTERVIEWS, NEW RELEASES
[wp_ad_camp_2]  Post by Hammarica. RANZH DEBUTS ON HAMMARICA! [wp_ad_camp_1] RANZH is a brand new artist on the Hammarica label. His debut 'GO!' is a hard hitting, but melodic big room house anthem. Made for addiction and delivered to satisfy. Before reaching the solid-produced, professional sound that GO! offers, Ranzh would use household items to make a drum set (laundry basket, hangers, books, pencils). He'd set it up in his room and play whenever he had the chance. (And when the neighbors were away). So we wanted to know a bit more about him: Which is the brand of headphones you trust? And is there a specific model you really like? I love AKG headphones. They are good-looking, good-sounding headphones that are perfect for DJing of studio work. I currently have the AK

GETTING KICKED OUT OF THE CLUB WHILE YOU ARE THE DJ: MEET RICO FROM PARIS!

EDM NEWS, INTERVIEWS
[wp_ad_camp_2] // Post by Hammarica. [wp_ad_camp_1] MAGNETIC MAGAZINE WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH HIS MUSIC, THEY PUT HIS VIDEO ON THEIR FRONT PAGE. HIGH TIME FOR A CHAT WITH RICO FROM PARIS Describe the wildest night from your career. I got kicked out years ago from the club where I was headlining in Paris. When you’re in your 20’s sometimes you act before you think, so I was having a smoke on the dancefloor instead of backstage…when I told the doorman I was playing next, he let me back in. Are bigger crowds better than smaller crowds? I’ve been thinking a lot about this…I think smaller crowds are better, I’ve played before a sea of tens of thousands of people at the Techno Parade in Paris, and it was great, but not the best. When travelling to Australia someone told me abo

EDM NEWS, INTERVIEWS
[wp_ad_camp_2] Post by Hammarica. [wp_ad_camp_1] The Opera EDM of Hibernate and Victoria Gydov has the scene talking. We caught up with Hibernate for a chat Who is your favorite artist from EDM outside your own specific genre? I don't really make just one specific genre, as most of my fans already know. But as for artists I enjoy who's style I am far away from, I would have to say its on the more alternative side of things. I really like the French style, as in M83 and Air. Not quite sure if that is EDM, but it is quite electronic and very cool. M83 made a really cool soundtrack for a French film called 'You and the Night' and it was really good. I recommend both the soundtrack and the film. Tell us something that really surprised you. I liked BT's whole Twitter gunning se...

[wp_ad_camp_2] Post by Kyau & Albert. [wp_ad_camp_1] KYAU & ALBERT ARE ABOUT TO RELEASE THEIR NEW ALBUM DISTANT LIGHTS. WE HAD A CHAT WITH THEM Your new album is called “Distant Lights”. How did you come up with the title? Ralph: As always we both had a list of ideas for an album title. On our last 3 albums we never used an album song name as album title, like some artist do. We prefer when the album name stands for itself. So for our fourth album we finally decided to take “Distant Lights”, because for some reason, to me it gives a meaning of hope, like the light at the end of the tunnel. Steven: Yes, it holds a pleasant, comforting sense of optimism. Exactly like the album sounds when listening to all tracks. What is your personal favorite track from the album

INTERVIEW WITH ANONYMOUS ELECTRONICA!

EDM NEWS, ELECTRONICA, INTERVIEWS, NEW RELEASES
[wp_ad_camp_2] [Tweet ""Explore thy Imagination & Embrace the Mystery""] [wp_ad_camp_1] Explain why you like being anonymous I don't. Wearing a physical mask is sweaty, foggy and exhausting. But its all worth it because I know under the mask lies yet another mask and when it’s on the ego turns off and I am truly free to play. Who are some of your musical inspirations? Jon Hopkins, Martin Vogt, Martin Stimming, Joel Zimmerman, but mostly the musicians I get to experiment with in my free time. Could IDM work on an EDM mainstage? It already has, deadmau5 at iTunes festival was a perfect example. How ever it's anything but ideal. Like any music, there are energetic components to them but the perfect venue would be something like the 4d Sound system in Europe that can

I had been working on fundraising for the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) through other initiatives, and I was looking for a way to combine this work with my passions in the musical arena.  After a bit of searching, I discovered Mixify, a platform that would allow us to host an online festival and raise money through either ticketing the events, receiving donations during music sets, or both.  So, Bass for Autism really just started as an online event with a bunch of different artists playing short sets.  In an attempt to get more promotion going for the event, I reached out to the guys at

You have an upcoming release on DJ Center Records called 'Taiko' In this release you feature the Taiko, which consist of a broad range of Japanese percussion instruments. How did you come up with that idea? It sounds very fitting. I think the EDM scene is the most global music scene in the world. But I couldn't find any Japanese EDM acts on the map, so therefore I tried to put a Japanese mark on it and decided to use the Japanese traditional drum like the flag on Tomorro
