EDM NEWS, ELECTRO HOUSE, NEW RELEASES, PROGRESSIVE HOUSE
[wp_ad_camp_2] [wp_ad_camp_1] From the place where the sun always shines, where the women are at their finest and the music is at its best, Los Angeles DJ Antonio Giacca unveils his new release 'Majestic' to his global audience. It is the follow-up to the recently released Inflexions on Pinkstar Records which proved a favorite among many top jocks and quickly charted on the Beatport Progressive House Top 10. Where Inflexions takes care of the festival crowds, Majestic carries the true vibe of summer madness solidified with a high-tech chunk of bass thumpin' beats. As a chef of top-notch beat making mastery, Giacca serves up a tasteful dish of spicy rhythm sections, sweet chord progressions and crowd-hyping, in-your-face lead synths. The perfect soundtrack for a late afternoon drive on ...

Medium Troy surprises @ Seattle HempFest 2012

EDM NEWS
[wp_ad_camp_2] Medium Troy Surprise @ HempFest!! So walking along with everyone else at the 4:20 rush on Saturday, August 18 2012 at Seattle HempFest – I quickly found myself complaining at the lack of “bass in my face” at Hempfest. Finally I rounded the corner to the dance tent and found to my pleasant surprise non-other than “Medium Troy”(Eugene, OR) doing a live set. I ran in dancing and raging like everyone else. I watched their entire set which I would estimate was an hr to maybe two – I did walk out of the tent a few times ;) .. [wp_ad_camp_1] However the bass wobbles and old school vinyl being spun in the “dance tent” kept calling me back inside. First introduced to “Medium Troy” through a remix done by a previously reviewed artist; Golden Toast (http://soundcloud.com/

BradBiTT–CrunkasFUCK – Review

DUBSTEP, EDM NEWS, GLITCH HOP, HIPHOP, NEW RELEASES, REVIEWS
[wp_ad_camp_2] Brad Bitt’s use of samples – hip hop influence – and glitch hop/dub sound caught my attention immediately. But it’s probably best displayed in his most recent release – “Crunk as Fuck (Trailer Trash DrumStep Mix.” This kid is the sample king. He uses them in a way that is just INSANE! And so addicting! Even though this mix is 33 minutes long I’ve listened to it at least 10 times now. With a dash of reggae here and there and some crazy dance beats, Brad Bitt blends the lines between hiphop and EDM in a way that is without denial something that needs to be acknowledged. I think most of this mix could be played on both the major dance AND hiphop stations up here in Seattle. Being able to blend so many genres in a way that is appealing to all is a rare talent, and Brad

[wp_ad_camp_2] Hi Chad- Hi Dave – Kate from Hammarica.com here. Kate: First I wanna thank you guys SOO much for taking time out of your busy touring schedule to do an interview with the site, and I. We really appreciate it!! Chad - Thanks for having us! Dave - We're glad to :) [wp_ad_camp_1] Kate: I would like to start this with a seemingly trending topic – the EDM music scene becoming so mainstream!! Artists like Britney Spears, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, and now even Justin Bieber seem to be leaning towards a more EDM influenced sound.  You can hear house/electronic music blaring from stores like Abercrombie & Fitch, Forever21, etc in the malls – and The Glitch Mob can be heard in the new Amazing SpiderMan trailer as well as DeadMau5 in The Hango

Stephen J. Kroos – My MusiQ – Part One & Two – Review

ALBUMS, EDM NEWS, REVIEWS
[wp_ad_camp_2] [wp_ad_camp_1] Stephen J. Kroos brings us “My MusiQ: Part One” and “My MusiQ : Part Two” showing the world that classic progressive house isn’t dead, and not only that but its still growing and ever changing just like the rest of the EDM genres. Both these albums have an old school house and trancey feel fused with with a spacey – galatic sounding melodic dub/glitch influence and a touch of 80’s disco-pop to finish off the “MusiQ” recipe. Stephen makes what I like to call “pretty beats;” a very melodic – beautiful sounding trance-ish track that just sounds down right, well, pretty. You can get lost in both these albums and in my opinion there’s really not one “bad” song on either Part one or Part two. And in fact I think it sounds best when played exactly how it’s

Photosynthesis: My Writer’s Journey, Part Deux

EDM NEWS
[wp_ad_camp_2] By Damen Smith-Draeko --Photosynthesis is an annual EDM music festival based here in Washington State. It’s a spiritual/psychedelic gathering of artists, vendors, mystics, laymen, fire dancers, and mavens that all come together in the spirit of putting forth the will-to-good-power. It’s not just the party or the music that so many people look forward to every year, but that feeling of a natural connection to the earth, to a softer wholeness that the fresh air, the ocean and mountains, and the history of the region presents. It does sound kinda corny and very hippie, doesn’t it? But that is what it comes down to. This is what I got from speaking with many of the guests and from interviewing many of the artists and performers. And I don’t think it’s corny at all. I think

Featured Souncloud Artist: Computer Controlled – Acid From The Northwest

EDM NEWS
[wp_ad_camp_2] [wp_ad_camp_1] Computer Controlled has the honor of being one of this week's featured Soundcloud artists. So who is this guy responsible for countless of wreckin acid tracks? Computer Controlled is the main project of Seattle, WA (via the midwest) artist Larry Kleinke. He has been involved with the Rave Scene since 1991 in WI selling smart drinks with friends under the guise of Cybertonix. In 1993 he decided to start DJing and in 1995 started buying synthesizers and drum machines. Computer Controlled's base (or is that bass?) sound is heavily influenced by the old school Midwest Acid sound of DJ ESP Woody McBride and DJ Hyperactive. As well as labels like Communique', Drop Bass Network, Direct Drive, Industrial Strength, Harthouse, Contact, TRAX, etc... Also the ea...
