Hammarica.com Daily DJ Interview: BARE
[wp_ad_camp_2]
The BARE sound is a product of deep roots in rock, west coast hip-hop (as part of the Vital Mindz collective) and aggressive drum ‘n’ bass (as past alias Reborn). These influences, combined with ultra crisp drum programming, slick melodies and mind altering bass modulation, spawn face melting anthems that practically rewind themselves.
[wp_ad_camp_1]
You currently are very much into TRAP after having lots of success with dubstep and drum & bass. What made the change for you?
Being a musician I am really open to exploring new sounds, new genres. evolving I guess you could say.
Trap revolves a lot around sound design. Do you use unconventional methods to get some of your sounds or effects?
Yes and no. I still use a lot of methods I learned to do wel

There was once a time when the groovy sounds of disco was the norm, but as the techniques and technology used in electronic music has evolved the true disco sound has become somewhat a rarity. However there are some producers who have learned to effectively modernize the sound while still keeping true to the roots, Toronto house legend Luke Fair is one those producers.
Released on Spirit soul, Gravitron offers two Originals (Gravitron, Blueshift) as well as two remixes of the title track by Silver city and the Babel Orchestra and a remix of Blueshift by Phunktastike. The original mix of Gravitron starts us off with a perfect introduction to the sounds of "Discoteca" as it is often called. Full of energy and melodic impact, and a...
New Release: TUBE & BERGER – PLEASURE DIP

Coming straight off the momentum of the highly successful Lovebreak (Number 1 on the Beatport general top 100 chart), Tube and Berger have taken little time to bring us more of their signature deep vibes with their 2 track release on Suara Pleasure dip.
The A-side In my dip has a similar vibe to Lovebreak featuring a wicked build up of ambiance and melodies before dropping to a jaw dropping bass heavy groove. This tune has all the elements necessary to drive a peak time house crew into a frenzy.
Imprint of pleasure takes a more organic approach using elements of western and middle east sounds to carry the track. The melodic guitar based groove creates a great aura for relaxing outside of the club yet contains enough energy to...

Diffused is the latest release from New Zealand Drum and bass duo The Upbeats, featuring 2 brand new originals (Diffused and Undertaker) and remixes of the title track from S.P.Y. and Opiuo.
Being released on Noisia's Vision Recordings, you can expect to hear the dark styled drum and bass that label owners Noisia are known for. Diffused uses deep rolling sub bass and crazy percussion/Breaks patterns to bring out a tune that is absolutely full of energy.
Undertaker is a full-on neuro jump up tune with a real Noisia-esque glitched out bass line.
The S.P.Y. remix offers a different take on Diffused with a more straightforward approach to the drums and an epic offering of sub bass whilst still retaining the overall vibe of the ori
Sequential Circus 12 MASSIVE SUCCESS!

Saturday January 19th it was time for the 12th edition of Vancouver BC's famed Sequential Circus series of events. Sequential Circus is always hosted at Vancouver's Open Studios. Open Studios offers a wonderful alternative to the otherwise more commercial club scene. The advatage is that only well informed people who LOVE music know how to find the venue. It often host electronic (dance) music events, including many techno knights from the Subversive crew.
Sequential Circus is not an average event. The style is mostly dance music, but as opposed to DJs playing and mixing tracks, the music is creat...

First of all, it isn’t going to change what I’m doing. They signed me, because they like what I’m doing. The first track has been out for about half a year over Europe but now we’re ready for the US market. It’s the beginning of a very
