During these last two decades, electronic music has been gaining steady ground in popularity. After a first surge during the last twenty years of the previous century, the USA slowly warmed up to all the different electronic sounds that were coming from Europe. Ultimately resulting in a thriving domestic movement of producers and DJs who are pushing their own unique sounds within the genre. Coming to the point where kids now prefer to be a DJ rather than to play guitar in a band. This increase in popularity also created a broader market for synth manufacturers. Brands like Korg, Roland and Behringer all increased their production lines to cater to this crowd, and even modular synthesis has become more mainstream. With all these developments, one would think it would be easy to find a toy ...

Muted piano chords and the slightest of beats flutter away under the vox, with gentle builds thrusting us towards the surprisingly bombastic crescendos. GET THE ALBUM BT Gate X-138 – Magadan Pylons HERE You just came out with your new album Magadan Pylons. what was your general theme you had in mind with making this album? There’s a city in south eastern Siberia called Magadan. If you have ever been there, pylons are very visible, those electrical towers and power lines. It’s a contrast to the natural area surrounding the city and that is the theme of the album. What inspired you? I think it’s that contrast between nature and man, even though man is apart of nature as well. So you have this industrial, technological urban environment versus the natural beauty all around. There’s also those older Soviet style buildings and more modern ones intermixed withing the city. I really like the Brutalist architectur
