[wp_ad_camp_2] The Riel Deal: From the prolific electronic dance breeding ground that is The Netherlands, with close to overnight speed, in 2008 he landed. In that year alone he was tipped by Tiësto as “the hottest producer around”, by DJ Magazine as “the next big thing to hit trance.” Give a warm welcome to SIED VAN RIEL! You are known as a trance producer, but are there secret house or dubstep records from your hand flowing around? I have never produced an actual full on house or dubstep track yet. Even though some of my own earlier remixes and releases were quite progressive that would be one step too far for me. [wp_ad_camp_1] Describe the most lavish event you were ever booked for? [wp_ad_camp_2] Arkitech presents his debut release “Drive” on the Black Hole imprint. Ash Richards delivers the vocals. [wp_ad_camp_1] The elusive Arkitech makes his first appearance on the Black Hole imprint with an electro tinged vocal trancer. With plenty of focus on the build up of the track, Arkitech subtly hints to “Behind The Wheel” by Depeche Mode in the backing for Ash Richards’ vocals. It would certainly explain the title “Drive”, but make no mistake: Arkitech has created a moving arrangement that perfectly fits the description of modern day trance on the ISOS tip. Ash Richards is a female singer/songwriter and electropop artist from Vancouver. She has been fortunate to have worked with the notable Sean Hosien (Bananatoons), Lil Henriques (Hipjoint), Sam Ryan (SOS musi
[wp_ad_camp_2] Preparing to orbit the Earth at the speed of sound, ‘Versus The World’ embarks on its journey with a salvo of Durand’s solo material. Personifying Richard’s characteristic tech-ish appeal, ‘Chopstick’ and ‘Sequence’ deliver adrenaline shot beats and hard-fired percussion loops, packing them against those tense, stormy Durand riffs. On ‘Stand Again’ Leah’s vocal cadence generates the uplift, while Richard’s production travels the track into distorted atomic big-room-boom territory. Packing a peak-time punch, ‘Trancefusion’ (which served as the anthem for the Prague-based event of the same name) unleashes a euphoric trance fireball onto the floor! Where would a superhero be without his trusty sidekick? At each of its continent-hopping stop-offs, Richard sought out and
[wp_ad_camp_2] Andain began as an experimental, electronica group in 2000. Singer/song-writer, Mavie Marcos, grew up performing in the theatre and studied classical voice in college. Her musical interests led her to play in acoustic bands until she moved to San Francisco in 1999. During that time she met, and started writing an album with, producer Josh Gabriel (Gabriel & Dresden) who had studied composition at the California Institute of The Arts and was then working as a burgeoning electronic music producer. Andain's first effort "Summer Calling" was released in 2002 by Black Hole Recordings for their renowned In Search Of Sunrise series. This launched the band's name into instant celebrity in the dance world. Hammarica.com found a spot in their busy schedule for an interview.

[wp_ad_camp_2] This year you pleasantly surprised a lot of people with your Richard Durand VS The World concept. With this concept you give out the stems of your music for people from around to work on. How did you enjoy all the entries so far and did you notice any differences in approach when you listened to various entries from different continents? True differences related to the continents entries came from were absent in my opinion, but it is a pleasure to listen to them. Because whether they are good or not too great, they all surprise. And the collaborations I had and that are still on the schedule are great. You learn from each other; everyone has their own way of working which can be very inspiring.
