You currently live in Seattle, but originally you come from the Midwest. Could you tell us how you first got involved with the rave scene there and acid house in particular?
I don't remember just exactly how I started listening to Techno, but it was back in 1991, I know that. Then I started hearing about these things called Raves and got interested. By mid 1992, some friends started to bounce around the idea of starting a "Smart Bar". A portable bar set up was built out of PVC piping and plexiglass. Founder of Hammarica 'Hammahouse' recently performed for ITV Live The DJ Sessions. ITV Live is a great EDM portal broadcasting live DJ sets straight from their mobile studio. The stream features the tag team set together with Computer Controlled. Hammahouse has its roots in the oldschool house and techno. He prefers to perform live as opposed to DJing using a plethora of synthesizers and drum machines.

Computer Controlled has the honor of being one of this week's featured Soundcloud artists.
So who is this guy responsible for countless of wreckin acid tracks?
Computer Controlled is the main project of Seattle, WA (via the midwest) artist Larry Kleinke. He has been involved with the Rave Scene since 1991 in WI selling smart drinks with friends under the guise of Cybertonix. In 1993 he decided to start DJing and in 1995 started buying synthesizers and drum machines. Computer Controlled's base (or is that bass?) sound is heavily influenced by the old school Midwest Acid sound of DJ ESP Woody McBride and DJ Hyperactive. As well as labels like Communique', Drop Bass Network, Direct Drive, Industrial Strength, Harthouse, Contact, TRAX, etc... Also the ea...
